We are incredibly proud to share that Caterlink has been named England’s top school caterer for sustainability, taking the Number 1 spot in ProVeg UK’s 2025 School Contract Caterer Ranking.
This recognition reflects the passion and hard work of our teams across the country who are committed to serving food that not only nourishes pupils but also protects the planet they will inherit.
🔍 What set Caterlink apart?
ProVeg UK assessed 37 major school caterers in England, reviewing:
- The quality and appeal of plant-based dishes
- How vegetarian and plant-based meals are promoted
- Transparency around the benefits of sustainable eating
🏆 Caterlink led the entire top five, a strong indicator that sustainability is becoming a real priority in our sector.
🌿 Our sustainability highlights:
- Over 50% of our main meal options are plant-based
- Vegetarian and plant-based dishes appear at the top of menus, encouraging healthier, planet-friendly choices
- 11 out of 15 days in our menu cycle include a plant-based main, side and dessert
This achievement isn’t about a single initiative; it’s the result of years of thoughtful menu development, collaboration with schools, investment in quality ingredients, and a deep belief that school meals can drive positive change.
