Dear All,
Firstly, I trust you and your families are keeping safe & well during this difficult time.
I write this on would have normally been the first day of the Summer Term for the majority of our teams. I know that we are all looking forward to returning to school/college to prepare and cook healthy and nutritious meals for our customers. Traditionally the Summer Term has many festivals and events and I know that our teams enjoy supporting the curriculum by producing some excellent lunches & hospitality events during this term.
That said, many of our teams are supporting their community by providing nutritious school lunches for children of “key workers” who are attending school during the ‘lock down’. Across the country the Caterlink team have been proving over 10,000 meals per day in schools for children and adults. In addition, our teams have been sourcing and packing up food hampers for families who would normally received a free school meal. This week, for example, our teams will be preparing over 3,000 hampers for distribution in the community. From the feedback I receive, I know the contribution from the Caterlink team is well received and I personally thank our team members who are working to maintain key services to our community.
The wider support team is still available to assist our site based teams and clients with any queries, concerns or questions you may have. We have loaded contact information for these key areas in the next article.
