At the inaugural EDUcatering Awards Education catering specialist Caterlink has been recognised for its excellence in providing high quality freshly produced meals for pupils, students and staff at primary and secondary schools, colleges and Universities across the UK, with the award of Caterer of the Year 2010.


The Awards recognise outstanding provision of food service to educational establishments ranging from primary schools to universities across the state and independent sectors.


Jane Renton, EDUcatering editorial director, said: “The judges were impressed by Caterlink’s absolute commitment to ensuring the delivery of the highest quality meals in schools. In particular, the company’s success at its schools in assisting them to raise meal uptake, in some cases by dramatic proportions, was a factor that really made their performance stand out amongst the other providers. The company also demonstrated a commitment to working with the local communities whose schools and colleges it serves by offering training apprenticeships and sourcing its ingredients from local farmers and suppliers.”
